In December 2008, following many months of planning and sewing, a new Altar Frontal was commissioned into use at Pear Tree Church.
Designed and master-minded by Russ Leppitt, the 10 sections of the Frontal were crafted by Russ, Rose, Angela, Nesta, Jeannette, Susie and Nadine.
The design is planned around the Pear Tree Logo and incorporates a number of Christian symbols as well as the concept of nature within Fibonacci sequences.
From sunrise to sunset, on land or in the air or sea, the theme is always the creative power of God which comes to fruition in the self-giving grace of the cross in which we can root our lives.
It is a visually stunning piece(s) of tapestry which seems to glow - even when the lights are off.

Later in 2010 we added the following. They are designed to hold the Communion linens and were made by Russ
Rose and Deborah before being installed in their 'jackets' by Marion. Well done everyone.
